Pics are drawn or painted in a looser, more expressive style while faithfully capturing your pet's likeness and character. (See Petunia, Chessie sketch, and the Lion in the Gallery).
PLEASE NOTE: The following prices are for plain backgrounds. If you desire a complex background such as a landscape, email me at orders@christinewoodsart.com with what you have in mind, and I'll give you a quote.
A NOTE ON ACRYLICS - I use acrylics in a manner that is a cross between watercolor and oil painting, for transparent glazes and rich opaque layers. The final result is soft and beautiful, on heavy acid-free watercolor paper.

A NOTE ON OILS - I paint pet portraits on hardboard similar to Masonite. In contrast to canvas which has a discernible weave, hardboard is smooth, allowing for the painting of fine details. Sealed on both sides, hardboard is not susceptible to mildew and rot which can destroy canvas, and is generally much more durable.
If you prefer, however, I will paint your portrait on canvas for a small additional charge.
