“That’s
Oreo! I don’t know how you did it, but that’s my dog! When he goes,
I’ll be able to look at your painting and feel that a part of him is
still with me, forever.”

I work in various mediums: oils, acrylics, graphite pencil, and pen & ink... and in two styles: ♦ highly realistic ♦ looser, more impressionistic (I call these "Quick Pics")
Select the medium, style and size that fit your budget.
As a pet owner I understand that every creature has something special and precious that sets them apart,
which often only we can see. I seek to discover from you what that
extra “something” is about your pet before I begin to paint.
THE PAINTING PROCESS
1)Using a photograph we've decided on for reference (see Photographing Pets), I will begin with a loose preliminary sketch for the purpose of determining the layout and correctly placing distinguishing features before transferring to the paper or canvas.
2) I will email a JPG image of the preliminary sketch for your approval and comments.
3) Upon your email approval of the sketch, I will commence painting, checking with you periodically, making any adjustments you require along the way.
4) When the portrait is completed, I will email an image for your approval and make any final adjustments. Your complete satisfaction is my goal! When final payment is made, I will ship your portrait. (Please read Terms & Conditions).
SHIPPING
I will securely pack your portrait flat. Your shipping cost will be the actual USPS cost plus insurance, added to the final bill. You will receive a tracking number. If you prefer another method of shipping, just let me know.
